All About the Red Telephone Box
For this comprehensive video about the history of the red telephone booth in the UK, the BBC Arabic team requested a fully detailed 3D model of both the classic phone box and its modern digital incarnation.
I conducted visual research to identify the key components of the old phone boxes and meticulously recreated them from scratch in 3D using Cinema 4D. This included interior elements such as the LCD screen, buttons, decals, and various electronic components. Similarly, I developed the modernized version using the same techniques and imported all assets into After Effects for final compositing.
An important aspect of the film was the interaction between the presenter and the visual elements, which added an extra challenge to the project. I am proud to say that I successfully navigated this, enhancing the overall viewer experience and ensuring a seamless integration of graphics and presenter footage.
