Land Day Sting
Celebrated on March 30, Land Day serves as a day of commemoration for Palestinians, including both Arab citizens of Israel and those in the Israeli-occupied territories, marking the events of that date in 1976 in Israel.
The event has a rich history of graphic posters created by various designers throughout the 1970s and 1980s, and I aimed for the design of this animation to honor and reference that legacy. To achieve this, I incorporated elements such a the keffiyeh-inspired flowers, strong geometric illustrations, and a wrinkled paper texture. My goal was to create a piece that felt like an old poster come to life through animation, infused with the design sensibilities of the 1980s.
