Recycling in Germany Explainer

This was one of the first videos I helped produce for The Guardian’s social team. I used graphics to illustrate points when visual evidence was unavailable, employing transitions and wipes between graphics and B-roll or pieces to camera to maintain a smooth flow. The consistent treatment of colorful backgrounds and black-and-white photographs, along with small supplemental animations, infused the video with character and style. This not only aided the overall narrative but also improved production value, proving successful with our social audience.
